Defects Analysis and Trouble Shooting in Paint and Powder Coating Applications
Date : 25 to 26 August, 2022
Venue : IMTMA Technology Centre, Pune

INTRODUCTION

The current manufacturing scenario is marked by shortages of raw materials and power, and pressure to reduce costs. One of the most challenging manufacturing processes is painting/powder coating application. Despite moving up to global standards in metalworking and several other areas, painting and powder coating applications remain far behind. In comparison with imported parts and several products painted in India, there is a significant difference in standards.

There is often a lack of expert knowledge on how to analyze and diagnose paint/powder defects, and suppliers are often blamed instead of equipment suppliers for high rejections and rework rates. Hence there is a great need to understand defects in painting/powder coating applications.

Keeping this in mind, IMTMA is conducting a classroom program on 'Defects Analysis and Trouble Shooting in Paint and Powder Coating Applications.'
