Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) – A Key Technology for Industrial Automation
Date : 14 to 15 February, 2023
Time : 1310 Hrs to 1730 Hrs ( Online Mode )

INTRODUCTION

PLC (Programmable Logic Control) technology which evolved almost 5 decades back initially for Machine Tool Control PLC (Programmable Logic Control) technology which evolved almost 5 decades back initially for Machine Tool Control has over the years percolated almost all types of Industrial Machines for Automation Purpose. (Machine Tools / Packaging & Printing / Conveyers / Gantry Systems / Pumping Systems / Furnaces.. And so on) The Technology which started in the initial period for replacing hard-wired Contactor / Relay Logics by Software Program, has come over a long journey, and now (besides its basic work of Software Programmable Control) is a key for Plant Level Automation / Communication between various Equipments / Intelligent Process Controls / Automated Set up Changes for Batch Productions and so on.
For non-industrial applications, it is very widely used in the name of Embedded Controllers, and applications are in our day-to-day life equipments like Washing MCs / Dish Washers / Micro-Ovens / Vending MCs, etc. All the modern day Cars use Embedded Controllers for Detecting / Sensing / Monitoring various parameters in Vehicle, and certain extent controls .

It is essential to know the Core of PLC technology, and its Operational Powers. This Program is oriented towards the same, and will be conducted in an extremely simple manner to understand for all Engineers, regardless the branch of Engineering.

Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) is organising an online training on PLC - A Key Technology for Industrial Automation.

Note: This Program is essentially a Generic Technology program, and Not any brand specific
