INTRODUCTION
'Total Productive Maintenance' (TPM) is a methodology to maximize equipment effectiveness and manufacturing processes through the involvement of all the people in the organization. TPM deals with all Operational aspects of a company through Asset care, hence the name "Total." TPM is the fundamental requirement to achieve manufacturing excellence that will ensure significant improvement in Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Employee Morale. TPM visibly transforms the workplace and raises the knowledge and skill levels of Production and Maintenance teams. TPM strives to achieve Zero Losses by achieving Zero Breakdown and interruption including Zero Defect and Zero Accident. Effective implementation of all the 8 Pillars of TPM shall contribute toward realizing the goals in this journey. Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association along with Hosur Industries Association is organizing a training program on "Understanding TPM and roadmap for implementation of TPM". The hallmark of this program is learning as well as post learning roadmap to implementation of TPM to get intended benefits from practicing TPM. This implementation PDCA is based on actual steps followed by a JIPM TPM awarded organization. Note: "Dear Participant, kindly note that, as the program will be scheduled at Hosur Industries Association, Hosur, the tax invoice will be issued under IMTMA Tamil Nadu GST (GSTIN: 33AAACI1369M3ZG). Engineer and Executives ( minimum 3 years of Industry experience ), Junior to Senior level Managers, HODs from Production, Maintenance, Manufacturing engineering, Quality, EHS. Those who attended TPM overview or Basics of TPM training earlier and now want to implement in the Org. |

Faculty
This programme will be conducted by, IMTMA Subject Matter Expert. He is a Mechanical Engineer & MBA with 40 years of experience in all manufacturing functions – across Automotive, Non-Automotive (Precision Engineering, Heavy Engineering, Capital Equipment Polymer Industries). He has been a Lean Practitioner since the year 2000. He has been a senior management professional for over 2 decades - COO & CEO in multiple organizations including MNCs and reputed Indian companies. Having been responsible for P&L for many years, he is able to explain financial linkages to operational challenges. Having led different teams through Change Management, he featured in Business Today for effecting turnaround from a very difficult industry and was called the ‘Josh Machine’. He has authored a book titled – ‘A Journey from Impossible to I’m Possible’ which is about how huge improvements were achieved in multiple organizations under different environments. He is a good orator and has a penchant for teaching concepts through stories and anecdotes. |
