A big proportion of professionals working in Sheet forming have learn't the tricks of the trade and the do's & don'ts the hard way, through years of painstaking experiential learning. The onslaught of new technology and materials in this domain has been so rapid that there is a dire need for a short capsule covering the basics, new technologies along with practical aspects of meeting the taller demands on quality and process performance.

In order to address this requirement; Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) and Sheet Metal Forming Research Association (SMFRA) jointly organise a six hour online Primer course in Sheet metal forming. 

This program shall be delivered by Prof. Narasimhan and Mr Avinash Khare.

Prof. K.Narasimhan, is a Professor and Head of Metallurgy Department at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay; apart from decades of teaching he has rich experience of Consulting and Research. He is an active member of SMFRA ( Sheet Metal Forming Research Association ). 

Mr. Avinash Khare, is presently working as a Consultant Head for IMTMA Pune Technology Centre for last 5 years ; he has been designing, developing content and delivering wide range of Training Courses as a Faculty. He is Electrical Engineer by Qualification and he has worked for over 33 years at Tata Motors Pune in various capacities ranging from R&D in Industrial Electronics, Machine Maintenance, Technology Procurement, Head of Machine Shops, Tool Room Shop Head, Head of Die Design and Champion in Business Excellence. He has taught Instrumentation and Bio Medical Instrumentation at Pune University as part time faculty.
