INTRODUCTION

Industry 4.0 or "Smart Manufacturing" has become a buzzword in any International Conference and Trade Fair related to Manufacturing in last few years, covering the holistic-automated-integration of machine / process monitoring with production plan, logistics, vendor processes to Business Level ERP for real time communication and control of overall performance. All major economies are pursuing this concept vigorously and soon it could become a standard norm for Industry operation rather than an option.

While Europe & US are going overboard in deploying High End Premium Technology to do it at any cost, for their own reasons; for Indian Industry there could be different local options possible to implement in spirit the relevant parts of same concept so that it yields maximum real benefit at least cost, and fits well into our local ecosystem, work culture, priorities and business imperatives.

Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) is organising a training programme on "Implementing Industry 4.0 in Manufacturing".

Faculty

This programme will be conducted by Mr. Avinash Khare.
Mr. Khare is presently working as a Consultant to IMTMA & Head of IMTMA Technology Centre, Pune. For last 5 years; he has been designing, developing content and delivering wide range of Training Courses as a Faculty. He is Electrical Engineer by Qualification and he has worked for over 33 years at Tata Motors Pune in various capacities ranging from R&D in Industrial Electronics, Machine Maintenance, Technology Procurement, Head of Machine Shops, Tool Room Shop Head, Head of Die Design and Champion in Business Excellence. He has taught Instrumentation and Bio Medical Instrumentation at Pune University as part time faculty.
