Training Methodology

  • The online training program is divided into 5 sessions of 8 + 8 + 8 + 6 + 6 Hours
  • Sessions are staggered over weeks to facilitate better understanding and implementation of the tools
  • Assignments: Participants will be given multiple assignments during every session, as classroom exercises. This is the unique feature of this program
  • There will be a qualifying final test after all the sessions. Test will have multiple choice questions. Duration: 90 Minutes. Minimum qualifying marks for certification is 60%
  • Post training, participant can select, lead and complete a project as per IMTMA Six Sigma methodology in 4 - 6 months and contact IMTMA for 'Six Sigma Green belt' certification. IMTMA faculty will conduct the final review to validate successful execution as per Six Sigma methodology. His decision is final. OR if the organisation want handholding support during the projects execution period, IMTMA faculty will be engaged for the same

IMTMA Six Sigma Certification of Participation Criteria

All Participants will be awarded 'Certification of Participation' after attending all the sessions, completion of assignments and passing the qualifying exam with a minimum score of 60% at the end of the training.

IMTMA Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Professional Criteria

All participants will be awarded 'IMTMA Certified Six Sigma Green Belt professional', based on the criteria listed below.

Criteria for IMTMA certified Six Sigma Green Belt Professional

  • Post training, participant should select, lead and complete a project as per IMTMA Six Sigma methodology in 4 - 6 months and contact IMTMA for 'Six Sigma Green belt' certification
  • IMTMA faculty will conduct the final review to validate successful execution as per Six Sigma methodology. His decision is final. Each project final review may take about 2.5 to 3 Hours
  • Pass 'Data Analysis' test after the project review
  • IMTMA will prepare question sets ( Data, case, and example ) that have to be analysed and interpreted correctly by the project leader. Analysis will be using MINITAB software
  • Test duration: 90 Minutes
  • For Green belt certification, leader has to pass the test. Qualifying marks: 70%

  • Mr Subrata Mitra Majumdar is a Graduate Mechanical Engineer from 'Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology ( erstwhile Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur ) in 1986. He is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt from Indian Statistical Unit Bangalore, Lean Black Belt from Kennametal HQ USA, Total Quality Management from AOTS Osaka, Japan and EFQM Business excellence by CII IQ Bangalore.
  • He has worked for 33 years in both Indian and MNCs like Anand Automotive, ABB, Saint Gobain, TATA Autocomp, Kennametal and YG1. He was WCM & Quality head in Saint Gobain Abrasives, Corporate Quality & Operational Excellence head in TATA Autocomp Systems ( Multiple BUs ), Asia Pacific Operational Excellence head ( 20 plants / PUs, Regional offices in 12 APAC countries ) in Kennametal, Group VP ( 4 diverse SBUs ) in Birla Precision, Global Mfg Improvement head & Managing Director in YG Cutting Tools India.
  • Implemented Best Practices, Methodologies, Systems at 40 plants in 12 countries - ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, TS 16949, Balance Business Score Card, Cost of Quality, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TQM, TPM, QFD, Problem solving Tools, Constraint Mgmt.
  • Conducted training in 11 countries in Asia & Europe. Trained more than 5000 people. He Led, coached, mentored more than 2000 projects that have contributed to financial benefits of about 40 Million USD.
