Incremental Forming Technologies - Module 3 (Advanced Course in Sheet Metal Forming)

INTRODUCTION
Forming through a non-stamping route is gaining ground for many applications. Rotary Swaging and Axial Forming are used for making hollow transmission elements such as driveshafts and splines through forming routes - it is particularly suitable for EVs. An incrementally finger-pressing sheet into shape offers an economical prototyping option using an improvised CNC Machine and CAM software. Roll Forming is being extensively used for the manufacture of pipes/tubes, corrugated sheets, and modular structural members for construction and furniture.
Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) is organizing a one-day online program on “Incremental Forming Technologies”.

This program will be conducted by Mr. Avinash Khare and Mr. Peter Karch.
Professor Narasimhan is spearheading Metallurgy Department at IIT Bombay. He is driving "The Sheet Metal Forming Research Association" which is the apex body in the field of Advanced Sheet Metal Forming-related Research and Seminars. He has been a key resource person for IMTMA for its courses and International Seminars.
The program shall be co-delivered by Mr. Peter Karch, who has more than 25 years of experience in production engineering and plant construction. He develops technical solutions for customers worldwide in the field of cold forming of metals. He is a Graduate Engineer and Technical Trainer at FELSS in Germany.
