Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing in design through manufacturing Date : 10 to 11 March, 2020 Location / Mode : Bangalore INTRODUCTIONGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) system eliminates ambiguities in engineering drawings and brings out the designer's intent very clearly. It ensures seamless communication between design, engineering, manufacturing and quality teams across the entire organization enabling them to work in a concurrent engineering environment. Application of GD&T system helps to reduce the manufacturing and inspection costs drastically. Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) is organising a 2 day training programme on "Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in Design through Manufacturing" on 10 - 11 March 2020 at Bangalore. This programme will focus on understanding the system of GD&T and the methods of applying it in real time designs and will be supported by examples, practical demonstrations on CMM and exercises.
After undergoing the programme, the participants will be able to -
This programme will be a Mid Level one and participants are expected to have knowledge of Engineering Drawing as a pre requisite. This programme will benefit Managers, Engineers and Supervisory Personnel involved in the functions of Product Design, Process Planning, Production, and Quality Assurance from Machine Tool, Automobile & auto ancillaries, Tool Rooms, Consumer Durables, Aerospace, Defence & Railway establishments, General Engineering and other Capital goods manufacturing industries. Participants are encouraged to bring their drawings for discussion and problem solving. This programme will be conducted by Mr. Srinivas B, Industry expert in Product design and development. Mr. Srinivas has more than 23 years of rich experience in Aerospace and Auto industries in leadership roles within India and international locations. He has immense hands on experience on stack-up analysis and carried out several complicated projects involving 20 to 30 components and several floats. He has thorough knowledge of various Quality Standards for enhancing the operational efficiency such as Six Sigma, ISO9001, TS16949, etc.., and is a Six Sigma green belt trained and certified by Cummins. "We feel enlightened by gaining knowledge from such an experience faculty" - Mr. E. K. Vivek - National Aerospace Laboratories "It is a pleasure to attend the aforementioned training programme & I am looking forward to become a domain expert with the help of IMTMA training programmes. IMTMA Technology Centre is doing a great job - thank you very much for your hospitality" - Mr. Rajavel Kesavan from Burndy Technology & Global Business Services The previous programmes have been well received by delegates from BIESSE Manufacturing Co., Dolphin Die Cast, Hindustan Aeronautics, PSG College of Technology, QuEST Global Mfg., Volvo India, Walvoil Fluid Power India, etc. REGISTRATION : Prior registration for participation is necessary. Number of participants is limited and will be accepted on ‘First Come First Serve’ basis. A Certificate of participation will be issued to participants. |
