Additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing Technologies Date : 10 June, 2020 Location / Mode : Delhi INTRODUCTIONAdditive manufacturing / 3D Printing throws open newer possibilities for reproducing complex designs in to real objects. Though originally started for prototyping applications, Additive manufacturing has come a long way since then. It plays a key role in robust product development, as the prototype is made directly from CAD thus making possible the Form, Fit and Functional checks at the early stage of design cycle. In addition to prototyping, Additive manufacturing is used in manufacturing of actual components required in small quantities as well as producing jigs & fixtures and tooling. Medical and dental professions employ additive manufacturing to a large extent for implants, bridges, etc. Today Additive Manufacturing is a promising manufacturing alternative that accelerates production and reduces costs while creating new possibilities and new business models. Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) is organizing a 1 day programme on "Additive manufacturing / 3D Printing Technologies" on 10th June 2020 at Gurgaon. This programme will provide an in depth understanding of Additive manufacturing types, Applications, advantages and limitations.
After undergoing the programme, the participants will be able to - 1. Understand the role of Additive Manufacturing in new product development. This programme will benefit CEOs, Senior and Middle management personnel involved in the functions of Design, R & D, Application Engg., Production, Process Planning, Quality assurance and other related areas from Automobile & auto ancillaries, Aerospace, Machine tool, Defence & Railway units, General Engg. and other manufacturing industries. This programme will be conducted by an industry expert, Former Asst. General Manager at Tata Motors, Pune having 34 years of experience in various functions involving Technology Development, Maintenance, Capex and resource management, Die Design and Business Excellence. Now he is working with IMTMA as a Consultant & Head of Technology Centre on Metal-forming technologies. REGISTRATION : Prior registration for participation is necessary. Number of participants is limited and will be accepted on ‘First Come First Serve’ basis. A Certificate of participation will be issued to participants. |
