Fundamentals of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) & Implementation of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Date : 6 to 7 September, 2018 Location / Mode : Bangalore INTRODUCTIONNew Product Development assumes lot of significance and has become very much essential for sustaining business growth of industries. However often many costly mistakes and time delay happen in new development of Products / Parts as well as processes. APQP mitigates such risks by following a systematic approach & upfront actions to ensure first time right from the beginning. All OEMs now mandate use of APQP as this system helps in development of product / process faster well in time, defect free and within budget. The APQP is well supported by PPAP to ensure consistent quality supplies as per customer requirement Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) is organizing a 2 day seminar programme on Fundamentals of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) & Implementation of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) on 6 - 7 September 2018 at Bangalore. This programme will help in achieving "First Time Right" development of parts resulting in consistent Quality, saving in time and cost as well as enhanced customer satisfaction.
After undergoing the programme, the participants will be able to get - This programme will benefit Product& Process Engineers / Senior and middle Managers, Project Engineers / Senior and middle Managers, Business Development Senior and middle Managers, Manufacturing and Quality Personnel at all levels, Purchase& supply chain Personnel at all levels from OEMs and Auto Component Manufacturers. This programme will be conducted by Mr. Ved Parkash, an industry expert with over 37 years of domain expertise in automotive industries. He is former Head - Quality & TQM at Ashok leyland and Head - Quality at Hero Honda Motors. He has a rich experience in Gear manufacturing as well as Gear metrology. He was head of gear plant at Eicher and Associate Vice President at Hi Tech gears. He has set up a State-of -Art plant for Gear manufacturing at Hi Tech Gears, developed new products for reputed customers like Cummins, GM, Volvo, JCB, Getrag Ford, etc. Mr. Ved Parkash has done a pioneering work at Hero Honda to reduce Gear Noise, establish distortion patterns during Heat treatment. He is a Mechanical Engineer and has been associated with well-known organizations in the country manufacturing 2 wheeler & 4 wheelers viz. Escorts, Eicher, LML, Hero Honda & Ashokleyland. Applications & APQP as a concept wholly for developing a new part was very informative – Avinash Jain, HMSI Well thought PPT covering almost all aspects which are relevant to industry needs – Ishan Baruah, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd PPAP & control chart was interesting & at the same time, informative– Bakul Sood, Kamla Dials & Devices Ltd The previous programmes have been well received by delegates from Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India, Maruti Suzuki, Kamla Dials Ltd etc REGISTRATION : Prior registration for participation is necessary.
