Safety is of paramount importance in every walk of life. While unsafe conditions exist in every activity, the potential for accidents are more in the case of Vocational trades. The safety aspects and features should be considered from the design stage itself to create a safe work environment while erecting manufacturing equipment.
‘Accidents do not happen but they are caused’. Therefore the elimination of causes is in the control of operating personnel. Adhering to safe work practices is the responsibility of every individual in the industry. Safe work practices should be developed as a matter of habit rather than compulsion. Safe working is also related to the attitude of a person. Psychologists relate the safe working habits to the attitude or behavior of the persons. Therefore, the training on safety is a continuous process.
Keeping this in mind, IMTMA is conducting an online program on Industrial safety.
