Quick Change Over Techniques in Manufacturing Thro SMED Principles Date : 30 to 31 October, 2023 Time : 1340 Hrs to 1700 Hrs Location / Mode : Online INTRODUCTIONIn this time of uncertainty only agile companies will survive. Agility in terms of shortest delivery time with minimum inventory is the name of the game. The concept of Minimum Order Quantity or MOQ has fallen by the wayside. Customers decide when they want and in what quantities and are unwilling to pay more for this service. Hence the focus on quick changeover or set-up change is like never before. The manufacturers must have the ability to produce smaller batch quantities and deliver them more quickly. They must be able to utilize equipment for as many different parts as possible. Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) is organizing a training program on Quick changeover techniques through SMED principles.
This programme will be conducted by Mr. Avinash Khare & Mr. Ganapathi K N Mr. Avinash Khare is a Consultant to IMTMA and Heading the Technology Centre at Pune since last 5 years. He is an Electrical Engineer by Qualification and has worked for over 33 years at Tata Motors Pune in various capacities ranging from R&D in Industrial Electronics, Machine Maintenance, Technology Procurement, Head of Machine Shops, Tool Room, Die Design and Champion in Business Excellence. Mr. Ganapathi K N, is presently working as Advisor Training at IMTMA, having 16 years of industrial and 17 years of academic/Training experience. He is a mechanical engineer with post graduate in metal casting science and engineering. Prior to IMTMA, Ganapathi has worked at various capacity in manufacturing companies. He has thorough knowledge of Lean tools, GD&T and its interpretation, Materials, Metallurgy, Metal casting and heat treatment processes. He has carried out many programmes on Lean tools, GD&T, metal casting technologies, Metallurgy, and heat treatment for industries. He has also taught these topics to post graduate engineering students. REGISTRATION : Prior registration with an online advance payment is must. Number of participants is limited and will be accepted on ‘First Come First Serve’ basis. A Certificate of participation will be issued to participants. |
