OEE Workshop- Improving Machine Up Time Date : 23 August, 2024 Location / Mode : Pune INTRODUCTIONThe Automobile, Manufacturing, Construction, etc industries are going through a continuous change. The customer expectations are ever increasing and compliance norms are becoming more stringent. Manufacturing being at the core of this, what matters most is cost and quality effective production, ensuring effecting utilization of machines. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) has been and will be the ever-exploring area as it is directly linked with machine utilization time, production of components and quality as per customer requirements. of 5S is a five-step methodology, when followed, creates a more organized and productive workplace. The OEE Industry Standard gives a guideline in order to find ALL potential losses in effectiveness. An average machine in an average factory runs about 35 to 45% OEE. So, it is losing 65% capacity considering not running, running at reduced speed, producing parts out of specs, etc. factors. OEE is the data fuel or energy that propels the manufacturers to improve line performance and process quality gains. It is a matter of study, what you are not looking for, you will not find. To really reveal the hidden machines in your factory, ALL Losses need to be defined and visualized This workshop will impart the basic learning on OEE (availability, performance, quality), Identifying OEE improvement areas, co-create the standard system and define execution strategy to be implemented for improved competitive benefits. Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association is organizing a training program on “OEE Workshop- Improving Machine Up Time”.
After this workshop, participants will:
This programme will benefit to key shop floor stakeholders including- Plant Managers, Supervisors, Operators & all other stakeholders to identify the hidden machines, optimize production capacity and ensure cost effective - quality production. The programme will be highly interactive, co-creating the OEE system, and using adult learning principles. This programme will be conducted by Dr Ravikumar Kurhade. Dr Ravikumar, by education is M Tech from IIT Kharagpur, MBA & Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from SGBAU Amravati.
